Fashion is in Charlotte Casiraghi's blood. You only have to look at her mother Caroline's long-running partnership with Chanel couturier Karl Lagerfeld and before that her grandmother Grace Kelly, a patron of Dior, Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent, to see that. Now it seems the poster girl for the younger royal generation is looking to a current top designer for inspiration.
Looking beautifully poised on the edge of her seat at Paris Fashion Week next to Paul McCartney and Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlotte seems to have become a fully-fledged member of the Stella 'family'. The pair have been firm friends since the Monegasque royal worked on a magazine that Stella edited. Charlotte also credits her with awakening her interest in ethical fashion, which recently led her to found an eco publication. Hanging out with the cool Brit means that the 23-year-old will also remain fashionably togged out.
As Stella's three young children joined those of model Natalia Vodianova, zipping around backstage, the assembled fashion posse was thrilled at the sight of her vibrant collection. Expect to see Charlotte in one of her electric blue, turquoise or sunflower-yellow maxi or mini dresses, lounging on her mother's yacht Pacha III somewhere in the Med next summer.
