New York Fashion Week is critically acclaimed fashion designer Victoria Beckham’s chance to shine. Before showcasing her collections, she usually talks the fashion editors through each piece personally, demonstrating how she designed the garments by folding bits of material. Now, as she prepares to unveil the seventh season of her collection, there are already signs of enthusiasm from around the fashion world, with celebrities stepping out daily in her designs.

But this season brings added pressure for the former Spice Girl - she gave birth to a baby girl less than two months ago and is juggling being a mum of four with her thriving fashion career. One friend has revealed that Victoria is “sick with nerves” at the thought of unveiling her collections to the most influential people in fashion. But she is still in high spirits, taking to her Twitter to say: “Mummy and baby Harper are very excited for fashion week!!! X VB.”And little Harper has already had her first taste of the Big Apple, after she was photographed outside a hotel in Manhattan with her mum (above). Adding to her stress, the former Spice Girl has been reportedly been told by doctors to ditch her trademark high heels due to a slipped disc she suffered when she gave birth to Harper.

The mum-of-four, who was also displaying her enviable post-pregnancy figure, stepped out in a pair of black flat ballerina pumps last week. She's no doubt making feverish last minute adjustments to the collection, which will debut at the city’s Public Library on September 11. Having been featured in both Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Sex and the City movie, the library is a quintessential New York landmark.
