From rock royalty to model families, the Christian Dior show was a who’s who of celebrity offspring. Andie Macdowell’s two girls Rainey Qualley, 22, and Sarah Margaret, 17, wowed onlookers in the French capital as they stepped out looking fabulous in floral. The raven-haired siblings set the flashbulbs popping outside the Musee Rodin, before moving inside to watch the ballet-themed presentation.
But they weren’t the only set of stylish siblings in the capital of love – Keith Richards’ daughters Alexandra, 25, and Theodora, 26, had also received VIP tickets. Despite opting for plain ensembles, the blonde bombshells turned heads as they took their seats. Meanwhile, dressed in traffic stopping red, 22-year-old Amber le Bon proved she has inherited supermodel mum Yasmin’s good looks. And Annie Lennox’ daughter Tali, 19, was also present, joining famous faces including Mila Kunis, Natalia Vodianova and Olivia Palermo.
Long term deputy to Galliano and acting creative director Bill Gaytten – who is keeping schtum on his status at the French house – unveiled 1950s-inspired silhouettes that paid homage to their famed ‘New Look’. With its array of wrap-around cardigans and tutu-inspired dresses in a palette of dusty pink and muted grey, the show's ballet recital theme was strong throughout. "We took an iconic Dior look, crossed with a slight ballerina theme, and made it more contemporary, taking away unnecessary detail to concentrate on fall and colour and texture," the British designer explained after the show.
