Her return to the red carpet since giving birth to her baby boy 12 weeks ago was highly anticipated. And Adele far from disappointed as she stepped out at the Golden Globe Awards 2013. The superstar songstress was radiant in a lovely Burberry gown as she confidently stepped onto the red carpet, flashing photographers a quick grin before heading inside for the ceremony. The black number was perfectly complemented by a glamorous updo and her trademark black eyeliner.
And the 24-year-old must have been delighted with the result of the evening, bagging a highly coveted Golden Globe during the ceremony. The London-born singer scooped the Best Original Song for the self-penned James Bond theme tune, Skyfall. Taking to the stage to collect her award, a nervous Adele paid tribute to her baby son and boyfriend Simon Konecki.
Sienna Miller was another British beauty, not to mention fellow new mum, that was in attendance at the glamorous event. The fashionista, who welcomed her daughter Marlowe with boyfriend Tom Sturridge in July of last year, was showing off her style credentials in a pale floral custom-made Erdem top and skirt ensemble. Explaining her outfit choice to Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, the star said: "I feel like it’s 60s so it’s fitting with the character I played in The Girl but it also has a modern touch." Referring to the quirky nature of the outfit, she said: "It’s definitely out there but I like it. I wanted to wear someone British so I chose Erdem because he’s the hottest young designer coming out of England. I nearly wore one of his ready-to-wear dresses but it didn’t work so I went to him and asked if he would make me one."
She went on to discuss motherhood, saying that "it's exhausting but great." And she revealed that her baby daughter is "just about to sit up on her own. She’s wobbly but she’s almost there." Another new mum to hit the infamous red carpet was Claire Danes. The Homeland star, who gave birth to her son with husband Hugh Dancy less than one month ago, was showing off her incredible post-pregnancy physique in a sizzling scarlet Versace dress. Also talking to Ryan Seacrest, the actress revealed that the wrap-around gown that been a last minute choice, saying: "I tried it on for the last time last night!" But Claire has been busy with motherhood, laughing as she said: "I've been in baby world," adding that her baby boy was being looked after by her parents at a nearby hotel.
