There has been much speculation over the Beckham brood's decision to relocate to London from LA, with many putting it down to David's next sporting move after his contract with football team LA Galaxy expired. But it seems that the relocation may be more to do with matriarch Victoria's dedication to her London-based fashion label. The fashion designer was keen to be closer to her brand's headquarters in the capital's Battersea, according to a source that revealed all to Radar Online. "Victoria couldn't handle managing her lucrative fashion line from Los Angeles any more because it's based in London," they said.

Apparently being "often up in the middle of the night having conference calls with her staff across the Pond" became a bit too much. Last year, the mum-of-four admitted that she was finding juggling her transatlantic responsibilities trying, with the time difference often leaving her exhausted. "I have a lot on my plate," she said. "I'm not going to lie about it, I'm tired. I'm really tired. I'm basically just like any woman who's working and has lots of children – it's tough." She continued: "I'm not getting much sleep at all. Harper's not sleeping that great, and I've been taking Skype business calls throughout the night too because of the collections. I'm up with the baby as all mums are and I wouldn't have it any other way. There's not a team of people doing it for me." David and Victoria are said to have taken their three sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz out of school half way through the academic year. And while they are pleased with their decision, they are taking time to readjust to life in Britain.

"David's main role right now is supporting Victoria in getting the family settled back into life in London," the source continued. "They are happy to be back. "David is reportedly pondering his next career move, which may involve taking part-ownership of a professional team. The family are said to be renting a lavish £20 million property in South London from Touker Suleyman, boss of fashion chains Ghost and Hawes & Curtis. They scoured the capital looking for a potential new home including in upmarket areas including Mayfair, Clapham and Holland Park but opted to rent property for the next 12 months in Kensington rather than buy, until David's next move is certain. After announcing in November he was leaving LA Galaxy, the 37-year-old sportsman has been linked to clubs in in the UK, France and China, though nothing has been decided yet. One thing's for certain, retirement is out of the question. "I said I wanted to continue playing as long as possible. So we’ll see what age I finish at," he said in an interview last year. "I love the game, so I want to continue playing it."
