Sporting gorgeous girly looks, fresh-faced fashionistas Vanessa Hudgens and AnnaSophia Robb stole the show at New York Fashion Week on Monday. Carrie Diaries star AnnaSophia, who stars in the Sex and the City prequel with Vanessa's boyfriend Austin Butler, looked lovely as she attended the Alice & Olivia presentation in the label's blue and white shift dress teamed with red shoes and black tights. Speaking about playing her quirkly style queen character, the 19-year-old said that she had "been exposed to a lot more designers," adding that it's been "a good confidence boost."
And she spoke highly of Alice & Olivia, saying of their creative director Stacey Bendet: "I've never been able to find a piece of Stacey's I didn't like. It's so sophisticated and it covers a large age range." Vanessa, meanwhile, looked flirty and feminine in a monochrome butterfly print skirt with a white blouse. Speaking about her move from grungy to girly, she said to reporters backstage: "I've gotten a lot more open-minded. I'm finally spreading my wings and trying different looks." Asked how she prepares for red carpet occasions, the High School Musical star revealed that when she really needs to "pull it together", the easiest option is a "bold lip and a cat eye."
Over at the Carolina Herrera show, super stylish socialite Olivia Palermo was putting her best fashion foot forward in a leather-sleeved mac and over-the-knee boots as she cast a discerning eye over the label's new offerings. And Hollywood A-lister Katherine Heigl was ramping up the star power at Reem Acra, stunning onlookers in a lovely deep blue lace peplum dress that showed off her statuesque physique. Meanwhile, model of the moment Cara Delevingne continues to make the rounds in New York. She has walked on behalf of top designers including Jason Wu and Carolina Herrera, and Sunday afternoon saw her race from the Derek Lam show at noon to open DKNY at 1pm. A few hours later, the 20-year-old headed to Diane Von Furstenburg to strut her stuff before rounding off the day with Tommy Hilfiger's show.
