Super star Romeo helps sell out Burberry's £22,000 Trench coat

March 1, 2013

Since starring in Burberry's latest campaign, 10-year-old Romeo Beckham has taken the fashion industry by storm. So much so, that the little super star has helped sell out the fashion house's £22,000 Peacock trench coat, which is showcased in the ad. The model-in-the-making looks cheerful and cheeky as he poses alongside latest IT brit model Edie Campbell, who flaunts fashion's latest obsession – the fabulous trench coat.Romeo stands poised with his arm around Edie as she shows off the luxury coat that features a satin cinched-in belt and the designer's trademark tailoring. Spotted on every famous fashionista around, including U.S Vogue editor Anna Wintour, the patterned coat has now sold out in practically all sizes on Burberry's e-commerce site  – and we think Romeo's got a little something to do with it.

It was only a matter of time before one of the Beckham boys followed in the fashionable footsteps of their parents Victoria and David, and Romeo has certainly overtaken brothers, Brooklyn and Cruz, on the fashion scene. The chief creative officer Christopher Bailey for the Burberry spring/summer 2013 campaign stated that the middle Beckham boy "was a joy to work with and really stole the show.'' He continued to say ''we had such fun shooting the campaign and I think that comes through in the images which really reflect the upbeat spirit of the collection." In the avant-garde images which remain fun and fashionable at the same time, star of the show Romeo is seen rocking the famous Prorsum metallic bomber jacket with matching quirky footwear and a mirrored shirt.

Other models to appear as part of the star-studded Burberry crew include Charlotte Wiggins, Alex Dunstan, Charlie France, and Max Rendell, along with model of the moment Cara Delevingne.

In the campaign, shot by world famous photographer Mario Testino, Romeo looks a consummate professional as he models the new Burberry range, stealing focus from some of fashion's most famous faces. And this is no doubt thanks to training from his stylish parents who are ubiquitous on the fashion scene these days. Dad David has also been successful with his modelling career with campaigns such as H&M and Armani under his belt, while Victoria's collection has put fashionistas in a frenzy with her spellbindig designs. When speaking of son Romeo’s stylish ways and her own fashion line, Victoria revealed ''I think that my middle son thinks that he is going to take over.''David also declared ''Romeo is the fashion one, so he'll go for skinny jeans and a vintage T-shirt and funny hats. One Christmas he asked for a pair of Spats shoes.''
