Listen up, Saturdays fans – you can get your hands on one of Mollie King’s outfits. The blonde beauty is donating the peach baroque print skirt and cropped T-shirt to eBay in order to raise funds for the mothers2mothers charity. Mollie was snapped wearing the fashion forward outfit for a photo shoot at the Empire State Building.
The pop star is among a handful of celebrities who have opened their fabulous wardrobes to help raise money for the worthy cause. Arsenal football legend Tony Adams is giving away a signed shirt for the auction, which takes place on Sunday 24th March. Other stars such as Emma Bunton, Colin Firth and Annie Lennox have offered an array of valuable goods. Among them is a dress worn by Spice Girls star Emma, an autographed selection of Kings Speech memorabilia from Colin and artwork created by Annie.
Every £30 raised helps mothers2mothers provide peer education and psychosocial support to one HIV-positive woman, over the course of her pregnancy. "I'm delighted to support mothers2mothers by offering this autographed package of Kings Speech memorabilia. I have enormous respect for the work mothers2mothers are doing to protect babies from HIV, and hope this auction is a great success," stated Colin Firth. Emma Bunton said: "This beautiful dress was hand-made for me and I loved wearing it, but I'm delighted to donate it to such a good cause. mothers2mothers are doing amazing work in sub-Saharan Africa, helping mothers protect their babies from HIV infections."
