SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEOCharlotte Casiraghi is ready for spring in Gucci's third installment of their Icons of Heritage 'Forever Now' series, fronted by the Monagesque sweetheart. This is the third time that the model, 26, has posed to celebrate the Italian fashion house's icons. Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, some of the world's most respected fashion and portrait photographers, the latest of the Gucci campaign features beautiful portraits of Charlotte. Dressed for spring in bright floral patterns, she holds an intense gaze with the camera, her tousled locks lending a romantic frame to her stunning features.

In one, the young royal holds a scarf which features Gucci's Flora pattern designed by Italian artist Vittorio Accornero; the same pattern that appears on a silk scarf that Rodolfo Gucci gave to Charlotte's grandmother Princess Grace of Monaco, in 1966. The Flora silk scarf, featuring 43 varieties of flowers from all the seasons, was created as a special gift for Princess Grace when her husband Prince Rainier bought a Bamboo bag. And now Charlotte celebrates the timeless motif, which has since spurred interpretations across many collections and continues to evolve through the current creations, 50 years later. She's not the only person who holds the Flora scarf close to her heart. Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini said: "The print holds special meaning to me - I first discovered the scarf when my mother and grandmother would wear theirs during my childhood in the Seventies."

The colour palette in the timeless design reaches an astonishing 37, and works to evoke a poetic mood that over time inspired mothers to pass down Flora to their daughters. The Italian label's 'Forever Now' campaign, which launched in 2010 in the run up to its 90th anniversary, focuses on the brand's rich history. The second installment celebrates the iconic metal horsebit featured on the classic Gucci loafer and the first was dedicated to Gucci's signature green and red stripe. Charlotte was an obvious choice for the campaign. Not only is she the granddaughter of Hollywood fashion icon Grace Kelly, both she and Frida are passionate equestrians.
