Miranda Kerr makes her first public appearance since Victoria's Secret contract claims

April 12, 2013

Miranda Kerr's future as a Victoria's Secret Angel has been one of the week's big talking points, but she has chosen to remain silent over speculation that the lingerie brand giant have decided not to renew her $1 million contract. Or has she? On Thursday, the Australian beauty posted a philosophical quotation on her Instagram page, that read, "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier — Mother Teresa".

She also made her first public appearance since the story broke, stepping out with a big smile as she took her son Flynn, two, out for a playdate in Hollywood. It's a clear sign that the natural beauty has risen above the rumours circulating about her contract with Victoria's Secret. Certainly the company seem to be standing 100 per cent behind her. After it was reported that they were parting ways with Miranda, 29, because she is "not a big seller for VS" and "had a difficult reputation", the brand's president Ed Razek issued a statement to quash those reports."Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business – and easily one of the most popular," he said. "She is also a consummate professional. Any rumours to the contrary are simply untrue.

"While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we'd like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me."

He continued: "We have no plans to stop working with her. In fact, I've already invited her to walk the runway in this year's fashion show and, happily, she agreed." Miranda — married to Orlando Bloom — has arguably become the highest-profile angel since she was given the coveted title back in 2008. She is also very much in-demand outside the lingerie world; in December she was announced as the new face of Mango, following in the footsteps of Kate Moss and Penelope Cruz.
