Sarah Jessica Parker is putting her Sex and the City shoes up for a charity auction. The glamorous footwear, all of which belonged to the actress' alter ego Carrie Bradshaw in the hit HBO series, will be sold in a bid to raise money for a New York high school. The offerings include designer shoes from Prada, Jonathan Kelsey and Dolce Vita, and will be sold alongside Britney Spears' pink platforms from her Crazy tour, Shaquille O'Neal's size 22 basketball trainers and Madonna's infamous over-the-knee stiletto boots that she wore during her Super Bowl performance.

Also featuring in the auction will be Elvis Presley's brown leather boots, Sylvester Stallone's fur boots and Eminem's white sneakers. The auction, which will start on April 24, is sponsored by 'Gotta Have Rock and Roll' and all proceeds from the sale will go to New York's LAGuardia High School of Music, Art and the Performing Arts. Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon attends the high school, which was the basis for the 1980s movie Fame. The bidding will start at $100. Sarah, who is mum to James, 11, and twins Marion and Tabitha, three, recently opened up about the effect wearing cheap high heels had on her feet during her 2011 movie I Don’t Know How She Does It.

"I wore beautiful shoes, and never complained," she said. "But then I did I Don't Know How She Does It and I was very thoughtful about my whole wardrobe and said you know, [my character, Kate Reddy] could not afford really good shoes, she would go to Nine West or Aldo. "So I got shoes from there and the bottom of the shoes aren't leather, they are plastic, so I slipped a couple times, twisted my ankle." She continued: "I went to a foot doctor and he said, 'Your foot does thing it shouldn't be able to do. That bone there… You've created that bone. It doesn't belong there.'"
