Beulah: Founders of Middleton sisters' favourite label chat to HELLO! Online

May 23, 2013

Natasha Rufus Isaacs and Lavinia Brennan set up their London-based fashion label, Beulah London, in 2010. Since, it has become a must-have label for the well-heeled London set. The collection of classic, covetable eveningwear is championed by some of the world's most high-profile celebrities – including the Middleton sisters. Both Pippa and Kate Middleton sport their designs for weddings and society events, and the Duchess of Cambridge even wore one of their dresses during an official trip to South East Asia.

The label is going from strength to strength and HELLO! Online managed to catch up with the busy ladies for a quick chat… It's great to see famous people in our clothes… All the hard work seems worth it. But it's not just famous people, seeing anyone on the tube wearing your clothes is just as exciting! The idea of making a woman feel beautiful inside and out is our mission at Beulah, and it is so satisfying to see an elegant woman wear your dress and makes it look fabulous! We'd love to see Kate Bosworth in our designs… She always looks effortlessly chic and impeccable style. Charlize Theron as well – she is ultra glam and also involved in a lot of charitable causes which is so admirable. Queen Rania of Jordan is another lady we'd like to see wearing our clothes – she is a reigning style icon and always looks so elegant. She has a strong sense of self and this is reflected in her style.

We haven't yet ventured into maternity wear… We're going to conquer ready-to-wear, and then go into bridal and bespoke. Eventually we will consider maternity wear, especially if one of us gets pregnant! We design with a specific woman in mind… She is glamorous, stylish and with a conscience. We have big plans for Beulah… We want to grow the business and expand internationally and ideally set up a small store in the next few years. We also want to grow our Beulah Trust to help finance courses for women who have been sex trafficked or abused in London, to provide them with an alternative, sustainable livelihood. We want to empower women who wear and make our dresses — that's our mission, and we'll get there one dress at a time...
