It looks like Maxima of the Netherlands has upped her fashion game since becoming queen. The Argentine-born beauty became queen back in April after her husband Willem-Alexander ascended the throne. Since, she has wowed with her impressive style, looking nothing short of impeccable on engagements at home and abroad in Luxembourg and Germany.
Attending the opening of the Holland Festival at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam, Maxima was the epitome of understated chic in a black satin dress and matching peep-toe heels. Bright blue earrings added a touch of sparkle to the outfit. In Amsterdam, she also attended the CGAP (Consultative Group to Assist the Poor) Council of Governors annual meeting at Movenpick Hotel. A cream dress with black lace and a matching coat and kitten heels was the perfect choice for the formal occasion. Heading to Utrecht, also in the Netherlands, for a one-day visit, Maxima chose to glam up, opting for a purple and cream peplum floral dress that flattered her womanly curves. She paired the dress with a large beige hat and nude court shoes. Another notable outfit was the scarlet ensemble that Maxima wore to attend the 150th Anniversary of Sophie Children's Hospital. An updo ensured all eyes were on her striking red ruffle jacket and satin skirt.
The blonde showed off her penchant for bright colours as she visited Germany. Arriving at the Chancellery in Berlin to meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Maxima chose an orange top with a matching hat. Orange featured once more during her two-day trip to Germany. Arriving for a visit to the federal state of Hesse in Wiesbaden, Maxima was a tangerine dream in an orange peplum top and a beige skirt. Nude court shoes, similar to Kate Middleton's trusty LK Bennett versions, completed the look.
Maxima is currently featured on a special edition of Vogue Netherlands, entitled 'The Birth Of A Queen'. The May 2013 cover shot isn't one that Maxima posed for, but rather a revamped photo from a previous glitzy engagement.
