After months of teasing, Alexa Chung has given her fans a sneak peek of her new book, which hits shelves on 5 September. Taking to Twitter, the fashion icon shared a picture of the cover, which is pale pink with the star's name in scrawled script across the top. The centre features a square with Alexa's made-up eye peeking through. "Do judge a book by It's cover," Alexa captioned the snap, referring to the book's title, It. Fans have speculated that the title alludes to her reputation as an It Girl.
The book has been listed to pre-order for £14.45 on Amazon, where it is described as a "truly one-off collection of Alexa's personal writings, drawings and photographs. "It covers everything from her thoughts on life, love and music to her favourite looks and how to decide what to wear in the morning. With wit, charm and a refreshingly down-to-earth attitude, this gorgeously-designed full-colour book is a must-have for anyone who loves fashion, music and just about everything Alexa Chung." Talking to Vogue about her literary venture, Alexa said, "It's definitely not an autobiography, but it's me writing, so in a way it probably will have that element."
She also revealed that despite being known for her sense of style, her real passion lies with art. "Drawing is probably the main, number one thing I can do – that I'm best at," said Alexa, who previously illustrated the cover of charity Ctrl Alt Shift's Dear Diary book. "It makes sense – if I can get dressed well, then that's what I'm good at, visuals. Putting things next to things." Last week, Alexa also gave fans the first look at her debut ad as the new face of L'Oreal Professional INOA colour. "Sneak peak @lorealprofuk shoot today," the British beauty wrote alongside an Instagram picture of the set. She was showing off a red-hued do in the picture, wearing her hair tied up in milkmaid braids with her heavy fringe loose.
