Model Cara Delevingne and singing sensation Rita Ora rocked the stage at the DKNY Artworks party in London on Wednesday, hosted by Cara. Rita was scheduled to perform with rapper Wretch 32, and tweeted a photo of best friend Cara prepping her for the set. "Whispering in my ear on stage! HA #showushouldofcometoo telling me I'm about to take the mic!!" the singer posted, alongside a photo of the two friends.
The model leapt on and bounced around the stage before hijacking the microphone and flaunting her own impressive vocals. Cara has made no secret of her desire to take a break from modelling and try out a career in singing. The ladies sent the crowds wild when they performed the impromptu double act, dancing energetically on stage and singing at the top of their voices. "This is what happens when 2 become 1! caradelevingne HA! Surprise!!! #dknyshow #mysexydancer! Came out…," tweeted Rita, alongside a picture of the duo striking a pose. Both girls owned the stage with their trendy outfits — Rita dressed in a cropped black top and metallic trousers, while Cara sported a tight black jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and black wedge trainers. The model accessorised with a number of necklaces and chunky bracelets, but her intricate ear cuff drew the most attention, accentuated by her long French plait.
Host Cara clearly knows how to throw a party, and fans and celebrity guests felt the effects this morning. "Not enjoying this hangover one bit! #hungover #dknyartworks #death," tweeted Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh, who was supporting fiancé and performer on the night, Professor Green. Australian singer Iggy Azalea also hit the stage, performing hit song Work. Before the event, Cara, Rita and Iggy posed for fans and photographers, pouting and pulling comical faces at the camera.
Best friends Cara and Rita are often pictured on nights out together, and the singer ended the fashion party showing her enjoyment with a tweet. "HA caradelevingne we turnt it up tonight! #cantTouchUS #alwAys #werk," she posted, alongside a photo of the pair performing on stage. Rita thanked her fans too, sharing a photo of herself surrounded by a group of girls with the tweet, "My bots showed meso much love tonight at DKNY! I LOVE YOU!" "Thank you so much for coming out tonight @Wretch32 love you my brother we killed it! #DKNY #LDN," she also tweeted to her fellow performer.
