The fashion world was delighted to hear that Princess Caroline's son Andrea Casiraghi and Tatiana Santo Domingo have set a date for their wedding, 31 August.
Given her fashion connections, the bohemian beauty, 29, is bound to tie the knot with her longtime beau in a stunning wedding dress courtesy of a renowned designer.
Tatiana is best friends with Margherita and Teresa Missoni, who are both heirs of the hugely successful fashion empire Missoni. The label may well be called upon to create her bridal gown.
She is also the niece of Lauren Santo Domingo, former model, Vogue contributor and founder of high-fashion e-tailer Moda Operandi.Tatiana, who is a regular on the New York social scene, also owns her own fashion company – in 2011 she launched the Muzungu Sisters fashion venture, which focuses on ethical business practices that allow them to support local craftsmen by buying handmade garments at a fair price and then selling them.
Their brand has been championed by other socialities, including Eugenie Niarchos, Margherita Missoni and Gaia Repossi.
A spokesperson said that the affair will be 'private', although it is likely to be covered by Vogue.
Tatiana's aunt Lauren's wedding in 2008 was given a 10-page spread in the famous fashion publication. Each bridesmaid wore a dress by a different major designer and Lauren herself wore two different gowns by Olivier Theyskens for Nina Ricci.
The news of their wedding date came just one day after the rumours that Andrea's sister Charlotte is engaged to Gad, with speculation about an autumn wedding.
If the rumours are true, Charlotte may well wed wearing Gucci – she is an ambassador for the brand and is the face of their Forever Now campaign.
Chanel, however, cannot be ruled out – Chanel couture is her usual label of choice when it comes to official engagements. She's also been spotted in Giambattista Valli and Elie Saab.
