The hotly anticipated Dior parfum advert featuring Robert Pattinson has finally been released. In the black and white shoot for Dior Homme, the Twilight star plays a bad boy who engages in a series of steamy clinches with a scantily clad blonde — model Camille Rowe — before crashing a posh party and causing general mayhem.

The soundtrack to the video, Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love, lends a rock and roll feel to the campaign, and Robert's brooding looks complete the magic.

Robert smoulders in the uncensored official director's cut, which feels sexy, cool and very Hollywood.

A Dior source described the advert as "sexually explicit", and "pushing the boundaries" of advertising, and the video will no doubt provide a huge boost to the already superstar status of the young Mr Pattinson.

The French fashion powerhouse released teaser images from the shoot back in August, showing Robert wearing cool shades and sitting on a rooftop.

Photographed by American Nan Goldin and filmed by French director Romain Gavras (best known for directing M.I.A.'s controversial Born Free video), the shoot mixes European and American qualities to produce yet another stunning Dior campaign.

The announcement of Robert's involvement with the campaign came in June, with a Dior statement reading, "Today we are excited to announce that Robert Pattinson will join the privileged circle of Dior faces.

"He has since proven the scope of his acting talents by choosing films as varied as Remember Me by Allen Coulter, Water for Elephants by Francis Lawrence, in which he starred alongside Reese Witherspoon, or with his role as Bel-Ami, the famous Maupassant character."

Robert, who split from his Twilight co-star girlfriend Kristen Stewart earlier this year, was apparently paid £8million for the 1 minute 46 second shoot.
