After Katie Holmes presented her Homes & Yang line at New York Fashion Week, the actress and designer took the chance to check out the latest collection of one of her favourite designers.Katie was spotted front row with actress Kate Mara at the Michael Kors show. Dressed head to toe in the designer's clothes, she was the vision of a colourful Fifties goddess in a full, floral print mid calf skirt and lime green loose fitting knit top.
"I've always been a fan of Michael Kors," she told
E! news. "I love his classic designs. It's so accessible to so many women—from his watches to his bags to his beautiful designs and I think he's just such a great American designer and I'm really happy to be here. "The man of the moment strutted down the catwalk after the presentation. Just before the show got underway, the 54-year-old New Yorker shared his thoughts about the process of unveiling his designs.
He posted on Twitter: "I think putting on a fashion show is sort of like having a baby. You get to the point where you're like, ‘Let's do this already!"Katie said attending shows like Michael's were a huge source of inspiration when it comes to her own line – a joint venture with her business partner and co-designer Jeanne Yang.
But on her biggest source of ideas, she said: "Mostly it's just walking the streets of New York because there there's always something amazing to see and somebody doing something unique."
