Kate Middleton's infamous transparent dress has taken a spot on the world's most expensive celebrity auctioned clothes list, created in discussions with Jones Bootmaker.
The sheer slip that the Duchess of Cambridge wore for a catwalk show at University of St. Andrews — the dress that caught her future husband Prince William's eye — takes the 15th spot after being bought for £78,000 at an auction in 2011.

But the dress' auction price pales in comparison to Marilyn Monroe's Seven Year Itch dress, which took top spot on the list. The white dress that cemented Marilyn's status as a Hollywood pin-up fetched a staggering $4.6million (approximately £2.8million).
