In a bid to raise funds for the survivors of the devastating Typhoon Haiyan, David and Victoria Beckham have sifted through their wardrobes and donated some of their best-known outfits to the British Red Cross Shop Drop.Victoria took to her Twitter account to share snaps of her searching for old outfits. "Proud to support @BritishRedCross #ShopDrop Donating clothes for #Haiyan survivors x vb," she tweeted alongside one snap of her sitting in a box.

Another image shows a mountain of shoes she appeared to be sifting through. "Big clear out of my shoes, on sale tomorrow in aid of @BritishRedCross #ShopDrop x vb," she wrote.

Among the designer picks include several of David's Dolce & Gabbana suits, some of his baseball caps and the couple's infamous matching Dickens-inspired outfits that they wore to the Venice Film Festival in 2006.Also up for grabs are 100 pairs of Victoria's designer heels.

"Typhoon Haiyan has devastated the Philippines, killing thousands and leaving hundreds of thousands homeless," said Victoria. "The British Red Cross is now carrying out an enormous humanitarian relief project to help all those people in desperate need. David and I are supporting the Red Cross Shop Drop for the Philippines campaign and we urge everyone in Britain to do the same. "Everyone has something in their closet they were holding onto – a dress, suit, or pair of shoes they thought they might wear again… Dig them out, bag them up, drop them off and give someone else the chance to buy them, raising much-needed funds for the Red Cross aid effort. Thank you."

"We are delighted to have Victoria and David’s support for the British Red Cross ‘Shop Drop for Philippines," said British Red Cross Director of Fundraising, Mark Astarita.
