New Look has replaced Zara as British women's no. 1 fashion retailer.
The store took the top spot with 24 per cent of shoppers choosing New Look, while the previous reigning fashion brand Zara — which is often championed by fashion favourite Kate Middleton — came in a close second with 23 per cent, according to research by Dressipi.

Kate, spotted here in a Zara necklace, often champions the high street brand"Just a year ago, it looked like Zara had the rest of the high street on the run, but the latest figures show that a year is a long time in fashion," said co-founder Sarah McVittie. "New Look has been an increasingly important force in UK fashion for a while now, but really broke through in 2013 with strong spring and summer collection and a couple of smart celebrity collaborations, including one with Kelly Brook."
