For someone who's known for their love of sparkly dresses and skyscraping heels, it comes as a surprise to learn that Dannii Minogue doesn't like shopping. "I really don't like to shop," she said at an eBay conference on Thursday morning. "I love it instead when a clothes stylist comes in with an edited rack and I can take what I want.
"The exception is markets," she added. "I've always loved shopping in markets because you end up finding things that you weren't looking for. Quirky, unusual bits. "Dannii dropped another bombshell, revealing that she has a wormery at home. "I'm really into gardening," she said. "Well, I have a wormery at home and spend lots of time looking after my garden. "Dannii was speaking at an eBay conference to celebrate a revamp of their UK website. Called 'Collections', a new feature allows users to handpick items from eBay and display them in groups or themes to create visual stories. Its concept is similar to that of Pinterest.
For those into fashion, for example, you can bring together all the different aspects of an outfit into one place on the site.Users can also follow other people to get inspiration from their own Collections.Dannii was joined by TV presenter Reggie Yates, Dragon Den star Kelly Hoppen and musician Alex James, who are all fellow ambassadors of the Collections range.
The celebrities have all created their own Collections. "The way we shop is changing," said UK Senior Marketing Director of eBay Sarah Calcott. "Shoppers are in the driving seat like never before and rightly expect an experience that's both fun and functional. "That's what eBay Collections is all about: the fun of browning and discovery, that's shoppable. These new features are part of the biggest suite of changes we've introduced to eBay in the UK and they're designed to help shoppers follow their passions."
