Kate Middleton is tipped to wear dazzling jewellery by designer duo Tory & Ko during her tour of New Zealand.
Victoria Taylor and Kirstin O'Brien were asked to supply the Duchess of Cambridge with four pieces of her choice after emailing the Palace.
Talking about their interaction with the royal in a video, Kristin said, "Victoria's sister is a designer in New York who has provided dresses for the Duchess of Cambridge."
We followed up with the palace and they came back to us straight away saying 'We love your jewellery and we would love to select some pieces from your website'. So they selected some specific pieces and we then sent them off."
Kristin also revealed that the Palace hasn't paid for the items. "They haven't been paid for – we've just sent them in the hope that the Duchess of Cambridge will wear them on her tour here in New Zealand. "The pair have shot to fame since they announced that Kate had requested some of their pieces.
They have since been inundated with media and client requests, and their website received 11,000 hits in just two days.
The four items requested by Kate were two pieces from the Bespoke collection – the Cultured Pearl and Diamond Necklace in 18ct white gold and the matching earrings also in 18ct white gold – and two pieces from the Pretty collection – the Blue Topaz, Gold and Silver Bow earrings and the Citrine, Gold and Silver Bow earrings.
The Pretty collection earrings cost NZ$695.00 (£360) per pair and the bespoke pieces are "price on request".
"They were very specific about what they wanted us to send," Victoria added. "We had originally suggested in our introduction email that we were bespoke jewellers in New Zealand, we would be honoured for her to even consider wearing any of our jewellery and gave a few options of selections that we felt might be fitting."
However, they came back and she had selected quite different pieces – which are all beautiful."
