"Michael Kors is pleased to announce that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge wore an indigo twill jacquard swing coat from the Spring 2014 collection during the final day of the Royal tour of Australia and New Zealand on April 25, 2014," a press release revealed.

The indigo twill jacquard swing coat costs £1,870 and is from the designer's Spring 2104 collection. Back in 2010, the American designer – who has dressed Michelle Obama on several occasions – compared Kate to the First Lady. "When I look at Kate I see a changing of the guard in what is considered elegant," he said. "She likes to look easy but chic. I would liken her to Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni in that way."

George was wearing a cute red cardigan with shorts plus white socks and navy Early Days shoes. The tot shook hands with the dignitaries before he got on the aircraft.

"All these women are in situation where they are shaking off the formal suits of their predecessors. "Kate looked typically fabulous as she waved goodbye to their supporters in Australia, leaving the country with her husband Prince William and son Prince George.

The royal couple had been travelling with their nine-month-old child for three weeks as they toured two countries Down Under.
