Blake Lively is a silver screen siren in glittering Chanel

May 16, 2014

Blake Lively was the ultimate silver screen siren as she made her second appearance in Cannes Film Festival on Thursday night. The former Gossip Girl star was stunning in an intricately embellished dress from French fashion house Chanel. The slightly sheer gown highlighted Blake's slim physique with its bodice-style waist.

The 26-year-old posed for the blazing flashbulbs with her hands resting inside the cute embellished pockets. Blake topped off the look with her signature blonde cascading curls, silver flower earrings and natural make-up. Joining Blake on the red carpet was fellow actress Zoe Saldana. The star looked lovely in a floor-sweeping black gown decorated with pale green embellishments.

The previous day, Blake had graced the red carpet wearing a chic maroon gown feturing a halter neckline and thigh-high split that showed off her toned legs. Despite appearing self-assured on the red carpet, Blake recently revealed that she lacks confidence when it comes to events she will be photographed at. "I am so not confident on the red carpet ," she said. "I just sit there thinking, 'What would Gisele do?' It is such a sensory overload." The actress also revealed that she also counts Beyoncé's little sister Solange Knowles as an inspiration after attending this year's Met Ball together. "I saw her at the Met Gala and was thinking, 'Oh why do we do this?' This red carpet is always so scary," she told Huffington Post. "I saw her take a deep breath and put her performance face on, and you really have to do that. "I'm not comfortable as me standing in front of 500 photographers, so I have to go somewhere else and pretend that I'm the confident person you hopefully expect me to be."
