Princess Letizia's top 10 fashion hits

June 2, 2014

Widely praised for her fashion sense, Princess Letizia of Spain is bound to give the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, a run for her money becomes queen of Spain. As the former journalist prepares to step into the spotlight, HELLO! Online takes a look at her top 10 style hits to date.

Some of Princess Letizia's best fashion hits to date

When Letizia wed Prince Felipe ten years ago, the royal bride stunned in a Manuel Pertegaz ivory natural silk creation woven with silver thread. A dazzling platinum and diamond tiara, which her mother-in-law Queen Sofia wore for her wedding almost exactly 42 years previously, topped off the look. When it comes to day-to-day dressing, Letizia keeps it casual and is often spotted in blue wash jeans and tweed jackets purchased from high street brands Zara and Mango. The princess is also comfortable in floaty, pleated skirts teamed with cute cardigans. But for more formal events, she likes to dress up in couture creations – often by her favourite designer Felipe Varela. Her favourite design from the Spanish brand is a lacy black, off-the-shoulder dress that she first debuted in June 2012 at a state dinner and wore again in September of the same year for official portraits to mark her 40th birthday. She recycled the dress for a third time during an official tour of Miami.
