Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon is all grown up and about to graduate high school, and so the 17-year-old has taken a trip down memory lane. "Can’t believe I was just starting high school when we launched MG and now I am graduating!" the student said in a blog post.
Lourdes Leon blogs about the upcoming Material Girl Collection
"Looking back on the past four years of high school means looking back on unfortunate outfits I wore confidently to school (good for me). Oh how I wish I could go back in time and urge my 14 year old self NOT to wear black rhinestone studded t-shirts with bloody skulls on them, purchased from really “hip” stores", she revealed on the site which is connected to the Material Girl fashion line started in 2010 by Lourdes and her mother.
Lourdes has become a fashion icon in her own right, and plays an integral role in the design process of Material Girl Collection
In the picture posted on the blog, Lourdes revealed: "These looks will hit Macy’s when I am a college freshman."
Lourdes and Madonna in 2011
Although Lourdes has yet to confirm where she will attend college, she was snapped with Madonna late in 2013 touring the campus of the University of Michigan, and the School of Music, Theatre and Dance.
The budding fashion designer is currently a pupil at Manhattan’s prestigious LaGuardia Performing Arts School and credited the freedom of such a school with how she has turned out.
"I like to reassure myself though, that I had to go through that awkward time of “trying stuff out” to figure out what I liked wearing best. I still don’t think that I have a defined style, maybe because I don’t want to limit myself to what I should wear," she added, before continuing: "Makes me happy knowing that I went to an arts school where any kind of style could fly: It gave me the confidence and the yolo spirit I needed to successfully look like a clown (it’s fine)."
