Gisele Bundchen has been the world's highest-paid supermodel for seven years now. But this last twelve months have been the best in the Brazil-born star's two-decade long career. According to Forbes estimates, the model has earned a staggering $47million (approx. £27.5million) over the past year, which works out at $128,000 (approx. £75,000) per day.

Her earnings are thanks to lucrative contracts with high-profile fashion brands including H&M, Chanel, Carolina Herrera and Louis Vuitton. Since the reportings were released, Gisele Bundchensigned another two covetable contracts, with Emilio Pucci and Balenciaga. The mum-of-two also lends her face – and body – to several Brazilian brands and companies.

She also has collections of her own – she has a line of sandals with Grendene, a synthetic footwear brand, and recently joined forces with lingerie brand Hope to create a collection. The range was so successful that Hope is now using Gisele's name to create a network of stores in Brazil that will exclusively sell pieces designed by the model. "Gisele is our best brand today", Fabio Figueiredo, Hope’s director of expansion, told Bloomberg. "We still have lots of room for growth in Brazil, but we have to think strategically where we want to grow and we want to be a global brand." Gisele recently opened up about the estimated earnings reported in Forbes magazine, claiming that it may not all be as it seems. "It's sad, because the people who write these things don't have my bank account details," she said earlier this year. "I do OK, I earn plenty, but not as much as they say. I've already been audited by the IRS because of this list and, truthfully, whether I'm on this list or not doesn't interest me."
