Blake Lively's new lifestyle website launches

July 22, 2014

After months of teasing, Blake Lively has finally launched her new website, Preserve. The site, described as a "creative space", comprises e-commerce, charity initiative and inspirational quotes and pictures. Blake wrote an editor's letter for the website, explaining that it aims to capture "the power of imagination, ingenuity, quality and, above all, people."

Blake Lively has launched her new lifestyle website Preserve

She adds, "We haven't looked at Preserve as a new website, but rather as a new street – a sort of greatest hits of 'Main Street, USA'. "While the whole world races to keep up with technology, we tighten our laces, join the race, but our end goal is to preserve what's already there." The shopping area of the site includes homeware, fashion and accessories – candles, jewellery and black truffle salt are just a few of the items readers can purchase.

The star explained the aim of her new venture in her editor's letter

"There's expensive stuff, inexpensive stuff, and everything in between," Blake added. "But their value, is up to you. We may romanticise it, calling it treasure. What we're really saying is, we see worth on every level." Preserve is a for-profit business, but Blake has ensured that there is a philanthropic element. She has partnered with Covenant House – an American charity that protects homeless, trafficked and abused young people. During its first year, the website will donate 5 per cent of all sales to the charity.
