Flanked by her husband King Felipe VI, the new queen was being welcomed by French President Francois Hollande at the Elysée Palace for lunch during an official day visit in France. It's been a busy time for Letizia, whose husband Felipe ascended the throne after his father King Carlos abdicated last month.

The previous day, she made an appearance wearing a pair of Carolina Herrera snakeskin stilettos. The mother-of-three was attending a reception at the El Prado Palace with her husband. Last week, the couple went on a tour of Morroco, which marked their first trip to North Africa since being crowned.

The following day, she joined Princess Lalla Salma of Morocco to visit the Lalla Salma Centre for Research Against Cancer. The new queen sported a pale pink trouser suit with matching peep-toe heels, while Morocco's princess stopped traffic in her scarlet ensemble.
