Since his first film project in 1990, the name Manish Malhotra has become synonymous with fashion in Bollywood.
His style epitomizes the Bollywood ideal: romantic and opulent, with preppy nods to athleisure and casual chic, the perfect East-Meets-West blend.
Since defining the fashion of the Hindi film industry in the 90s and aughts, the 56-year-old has gone international, establishing himself as a global couturier and noted celebrity stylist, having designed for the likes of Sophie Turner, Priyanka Chopra, Naomi Campbell, Kylie Minogue, and several more.
"I've always loved styling everybody whether it's Priyanka, Sophie or anyone else," Manish says in an exclusive chat with HELLO!.
"I love [turning] their visions into a reality with my designs. I've always wanted to create the best versions of themselves in a garment, where they're confident, and feeling great in."

The renowned designer was recently tapped for a highly anticipated Netflix project: Murder Mystery 2, starring none other than Jennifer Aniston.
For an Indian wedding scene, the challenge was to have the global star in something that would allow her to capably blend into the scene while also recognizing that…well, she is Jennifer Aniston. There's only so much she can "blend in" while wearing a gorgeous semi-sheer lehenga, which you can watch in the trailer below.
"[It] required an Indian aesthetic," Manish explains. "As a bridesmaid, Jennifer was keen on wearing an Indian lehenga which was contemporary yet adorned the essence of the Indian handicraft.
"Debra McGuire (the stylist) and I locked in on the color ivory as it was a beach wedding. I thought our signature chikankari lehenga perfectly fit the aesthetic of the film's premise and plot."
He continued: "With graduating rectangular motifs, an intricately embroidered floral blouse with pearl droplets and a handmade back tassel, it took about three months to create this."
Having amassed over 500 film credits to his name at this stage of his career, Manish hasn't lost his passion for his craft – especially as American mainstream cinema continues to expand its aesthetic.
"Each film holds a different place in my heart," he says. "Every experience with every film was different in its own way. Each story has its own story and each saw a very different approach in terms of design and implementation."
Murder Mystery 2 is now streaming on Netflix. You can check out more of Manish Malhotra's work here.
