Victoria Beckham revealed that she is holding on to the dress she wore on her first date with husband David, to eventually pass on to their daughter Harper. The 40-year-old designer recently auctioned off 600 pieces from her highly coveted wardrobe for charity mothers2mothers, but revealed that there were a few pieces she couldn't bring herself to give away.

"I kept my wedding dress," she told Stylist magazine.

"I couldn't give away the dress I first wore when I went out with David. It was a little high-street suede mini-dress so I've kept that for her." The former Spice Girl had previously spoken about the auction and revealed that she had kept her daughter in mind when sifting through the clothes , but had also wanted to try and raise as much money as possible.

"People have asked aren't I keeping a lot of these pieces for Harper," she admitted. "I'm keeping a few pieces, but for me it was more important to raise money for this charity. As women, we have a responsibility to really help and support other women, to do what we can do to help." When deciding on what pieces she would auction off and which she would keep, Victoria delighted fans with a sneak peek of the dress she wore on her first date with David, sharing a photo on Twitter.

"Look what I found!" she captioned the image. "The dress I wore on my first date with David!! X so cute!! X". The mother-of-four has made waves in the fashion industry ever since she broke away from the world of pop music to pursue a career in fashion design. Since then she has established her eponymous line as one of the most anticipated collections at New York Fashion Week, and recently opened up her flagship store in London's Mayfair on Dover Street. "She's won the respect of the fashion industry," husband David told the Telegraph. "And many other people as well."
