David Beckham and Amal Clooney are going head-to-head for the title of Britain's most stylish individual.

The pair have been nominated by the British Fashion Council for their prestigious British Style Awards, competing against the likes of Emma Watson and Jourdan Dunn for the title.

It comes as no surprise that Amal features on this list, as all eyes were on the human rights lawyer's wedding style as she married Hollywood actor George Clooney in Venice this September.

Amal, who was already renowned for her chic and elegant outfits, didn't disappoint, wowing in a custom-made French lace Oscar de la Renta gown embroidered with pearls, featuring off-the-shoulder sleeves and a gorgeous lace overlay.

Meanwhile, David has repeatedly had jaws dropping with his striking campaigns for H&M, and made his first step into the world of designing earlier this year as he launched a capsule collection for menswear brand Belstaff.

Despite launching her flagship store in London and dazzling the fashion pack with her collection at New York Fashion week this year, wife Victoria doesn't feature on the list.

Supermodels Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne are also competing for the title, following their striking campaign for Burberry's fragrance.

The full list of nominees:

Amal Clooney, Benedict Cumberbatch, Bobby Gillespie, Cara Delevingne, Daniel Sturridge, David Beckham, David Gandy, Douglas Booth, Emma Watson, FKA Twigs, Helen Mirren, Idris Elba, Jamie Hince, Jourdan Dunn, Kate Moss, Kiera Knightley, Ralph Fiennes, Rita Ora, Tinie Tempah.
