David Beckham, 39, is renowned for his love of tailored suits on the red carpet, but the footballing star upped the style stakes as he sported a black tuxedo for the Night of Heroes Military Awards on Wednesday night. Although David has been accompanied by wife Victoria at recent events, the fashion designer did not join him for the awards.

David presented the Hero Abroad Awards at the glitzy evening held at London's National Maritime Museum, saying that the country's servicemen and women should 'please feel loved' and that it was 'truly humbling' to be at the ceremony.
It's been an exciting few weeks for David, who recently announced that he will be launching his own fashion line . The father-of-four revealed that he has signed a deal with Global Brands to create his own label, alongside business partner Simon Fuller, who advised Victoria throughout the launch of her eponymous line in 2008.
"Her business is separate from this," said David about Victoria's involvement in the decision. "But obviously she's part of this too, because we're partners. We're husband and wife. She's excited about this."

"Throughout my career I've had quite a few sponsorship deals, but this takes it to a different level, a different area," added David. "I've gone from being in a sponsorship deal to now becoming an owner."
