The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, put her blossoming baby bump on display as she continued with her 2015 engagements on Friday. The royal highlighted her pregnant figure in a brown shirt dress from Hobbs. The knee-length number is silk jacquard-embossed with animal print and cost £169, but is now out of stock.

It's not the first time the striking brunette has worn the dress – she was first spotted wearing it during a visit to Wales in November last year underneath a pink coat. And astute fashion fans deduced that she was wearing the dress when she attended a church service with the royal family on Christmas day – the animal print was visible just below the cuffs of her sleeve. Kate was supporting the Fostering Network for her engagement on Friday, celebrating the work of foster carers at the Islington charity.

Youngsters and royal fans who had gathered outside cheered as the expectant Duchess arrived at the London charity to learn more about fostering and the need for more carers. Despite occasionally opting for maternity wear, Kate likes to recycle her normal wardrobe – as did Hollywood star Blake Lively, who recently gave birth to baby daughter Violet.

"Everything is my clothing, it's something I can and will wear when I'm not pregnant," the star told People magazine. "I would've felt foreign in my own body if I'd started dressing differently."
