Blake Lively has been keeping a relatively low profile since she and husband Ryan Reynolds welcomed their baby daughter less than two months ago. But the Gossip Girl star enjoyed a rare night out as she headed to the Marchesa show during New York Fashion Week, joined by her parents Elaine and Ernie Lively.

All eyes were on Blake, 27, as she and her parents joined iconic editor Anna Wintour on the front row for the catwalk presentation. The new mother showed off her enviably toned figure in a showstopping dress with a black halter neck bodice and full skirt featuring a bold bird print, teamed with a pair of yellow court heels. Her long blonde hair was slicked back to show off her quirky zigzag-shaped earrings, and Blake opted for minimal make-up to show off her radiant complexion.

While many daughters turn to their mothers for fashion advice, Blake is a modern day style icon so it came as no surprise that mum Elaine turned to her daughter to decide what to wear. The mother-of-five borrowed a hooded black cape with geometric red print detailing which Blake had worn during her pregnancy.Blake had continually wowed with her effortlessly stylish maternity outfit choices, and previously revealed that she was determined to stick to her personal style, pregnant or not. "Everything is my clothing, it's something I can and will wear when I'm not pregnant," she told People. "It's important to still feel like yourself, because so much of your life is changing. I would've felt foreign in my own body if I started dressing differently."

Despite having stayed out of the spotlight throughout and after her pregnancy, Blake caused jaws to drop last week when she made her first public appearance since giving birth, heading to the Gabriela Cadena show at New York Fashion Week. The new mother was glowing and confident in a black and white bodycon dress which featured waist cinching panels and a plunging V neck.
