Victoria Beckham surprised her fans on Wednesday when she ditched her trademark all-black outfits in favour of a more colourful ensemble. The 41-year-old embraced the summer in a chic red wrap dress from her upcoming Pre Spring/Summer 2016 collection.

The former pop star, who is married to David Beckham, showed off her incredible figure in the gown which featured an asymmetric neckline and a daring thigh-high slit. Even the designer's signature black stilettos were left at home, as Victoria chose a bold pair of royal blue heels to complement her ensemble. Her accessories were closer to her usual looks however, as she opted for a pair of oversized sunglasses and a dazzling bangle.
The mother-of-four was heading to a talk about fashion icons, where she was interviewed by Fern Mallis, the Executive Director of the CFDA, a few days after the organisation held their glitzy awards. Having already firmly established herself as a fashion force to be reckoned with thanks to her successful eponymous fashion label, Victoria revealed that she has more plans to expand her empire.
"I want to get into shoes, menswear and childrenswear," she said. "I believe in dreaming big and that's something I will continue to do."

The British beauty went on to admit that she is keen to reach a wider audience, and revealed she still finds it exciting to see people wearing her designs.
"I really want to make women feel great and empowered," she said. "Even if they can't or won't pay designer prices.
"When I see a stranger wearing one of my dresses I still get excited and will go up and tell her she looks great."
She later changed into a black top and jeans and went back to her trademark black stilettos
Although nowadays she is hailed as a fashion icon with her flawless personal style, Victoria revealed that there is one fashion faux pas she regrets – the platform shoes she wore when she performed as one-fifth of supergroup the Spice Girls. "They were awful," she laughed.
Later in the afternoon, Victoria was back to a more muted palette as she stepped out in jeans, paired with a black top and matching stilettos, throwing on a navy blue oversized blazer to keep out the chill. She wore her glossy brunette locks in a chic updo as she finished running errands around the Big Apple.
