If Gigi Hadid was worried about bumping into her former love Cody Simpson at the Much Music Video Awards on Sunday night, she certainly wasn't showing it. The rising supermodel looked every inch the epitome of confidence, winning plaudits for her edgy cream ensemble, complete with a personalised leather jacket.

The 20-year-old showed off her incredible figure in a daring cream textured pencil skirt designed by Mikhael Kale with a thigh-high slit, teamed with a matching crop top to show off her toned stomach and a pair of nude leather Christian Louboutin heels.
Showing off her high fashion credentials, Gigi added a twist to her outfit with a personalised white leather jacket, emblazoned with her surname in gold lettering, and featuring gold buckles on the sleeves.

Her blonde locks were worn down and sideswept into a sleek and straight style, and she kept her make-up to a minimum for a fresh-faced look.
Gigi was all smiles as she later took to the stage during the ceremony to join singer and the evening's co-host Ed Sheeran, to present the award for best video to artist The Weeknd.

Gigi, who is currently the face of Maybelline New York, has been keeping busy since she and Cody split earlier this year.
"Cody and Gigi want each other to be in a place right now that allows him to only focus on his music, fans, and new message, while she can focus and continue building her career," read a statement given to People magazine in May. "They love each other dearly and have split up in hopes that growing on their own paths will bring them together in the future."

An insider close to the former couple also told Us Weekly that one of the main reasons for the separation is that Cody and Gigi are rarely able to spend quality time together.
"They are hardly ever in the same city anymore," said the source. "And he's entirely West Coast based now while she is everywhere."
