We all know wedding guest looks can be tricky to get right – finding the balance between dressy-but-not-OTT is something of an art. And when it comes to evening weddings, when something altogether more glam is required, it can be even harder. But Amanda Holden showed us how it's done this weekend when she attended her friends' nighttime nuptials wearing an amazing sugarplum fairy-style floor-length fitted gown by Portuguese couture label Joao Rolo, which was embellished with crystals and ruffles.
Amanda looked stunning in this gorgeous gown
The Britain's Got Talent judge posted a snap on Instagram of her wearing the dress, which features a slim fit, fishtail skirt, nipped-in waist and long sleeves. It boasts a distinctive sculptural ruffle over the chest, emblazoned in crystal embellishments, and also has crystals running down the sleeves. She teamed it with a pretty wavy up 'do created by hair stylist Mikey Kardashian and her makeup, which was expertly applied by MUA Karina Darnell, featured subtle smokey eyes, a pink lip and fresh, glowing skin. She also sported a matching pastel manicure and chunky rings.

The 47-year-old also posted a snap of her with her husband Chris Hughes, taken before they headed out to the special event. Amanda captioned the image of them looking happy and relaxed with the words: "#datenight going to a #special #commitment #celebration for 2 #lovely #friends". Fans were wowed by the glam pair, with one follower writing: "Couple goals! You and Chris look so adorable!" Another added: "Stunning couple."
It's certainly been a busy wedding season for Amanda. Earlier this month she joined Rochelle Humes and Alesha Dixon for their friend Francesca Neill's dreamy-looking wedding in Ibiza. She wore a peach silk maxi dress and looked over the moon as she was spotted hugging and laughing with her friends throughout the day.
