She may be better known for her hard-hitting investigations and – more recently – her cha-cha-cha, but we think journalist and Strictly Come Dancing star Stacey Dooley might also have the makings of an up-and-coming style icon. The 31-year-old was spotted leaving the studio after filming It Takes Two on Monday wearing a very tricky-to-pull-off-outfit – and she looked fab. Stacey was wrapped up warm against the October chills in an unusual pair of wide-legged leather flared trousers, an oversized black blazer and a strapless white top.

The presenter, who has reported from countries including Cambodia and Iraq, added a bit of extra glam to the outfit by accessorising with a chunky gold necklace and a pair of black stiletto court shoes. She wore her red hair loose and natural and kept her makeup minimal.

Stacey and her dance partner Kevin Clifton performed a cha-cha-cha for their second dance on Strictly on Saturday, which was received with mixed reactions from the judges. Kevin and Stacey are having a wonderful time together in training, and during last week's episode of It Takes Two, a short video was played from their rehearsals. In the clip, Kevin was seen pretending to collapse on the floor after a dance session, and Stacey was quick to joke: "Get up Kevin! This is why he's never won!" Kevin later said of their participation in this year's show: "If we get eliminated first, at least we can say we've had a brilliant few weeks."

Stacey is also being supported by her boyfriend Sam Tucknott. Although the couple like to keep their personal life relatively private, they often share romantic tributes to each other on social media. The pair have been dating for three years, and Sam – a personal trainer – is no doubt helping to motivate Stacey throughout her vigorous dance sessions.
