We can always count on the Good Morning Britain women to deliver us our fix of stylish, accessible high street looks. And our latest style crush on the show is weather presenter Laura Tobin, who has been seriously impressing us with a series of on-point outfits lately. And it seems other viewers agree, because the mum-of-one caused a high street stampede on Monday when she appeared on our screens wearing a bargain £14 mini skirt from none other other than Dorothy Perkins.
The floral skirt comes in autumnal shades of brown, orange, sage green and cream and features a distinctive jacquard style pattern. Laura gave the skirt a '90s Cher-from-Clueless twist by styling it with a long-sleeved brown sweater from Oasis featuring a cute collar detail, a pair of weather-appropriate black tights and some brown heeled ankle boots, also from Dorothy Perkins.
Fans of the show expressed their approval at the look when the show's head of wardrobe, Debbie Harper, posted a snap of it on her popular Instagram page, Debbie Dresses. One wrote: "One of my favourites so far this season" and another added: "Oh my goodness what a lovely autumn look!". Other expressed their sadness at discovering the skirt had already sold out in most sizes online, with one commenting: "Is this skirt current as I can’t find it".
Laura has been experimenting with a number of fashion-forward looks while presenting her weather slot on the ITV show. Last month she wowed when she channeled Victoria Beckham in a chic bright blue trouser suit from Next. The jacket featured a single button fastening and the slim, slightly-cropped fit of the trousers gives them an on-trend twist. All Laura's outfits are sourced and styled by Debbie, who has a well-deserved reputation for hunting down the best high street pieces.
