Three things in life are certain. Death, taxes, and fashion week. As we have seen over the past couple of years, nothing can stop the bi-annual event from taking place, even if it has to migrate online.

Kicking off the jam-packed rota is New York Fashion Week, which opened on Thursday to eagerly-awaiting fashion followers avidly scrambling for front row seats. Of course, it wouldn't be fashion week without a glittering guestlist of VIPS for each show, meaning we have been seriously treated to some knock-out celebrity looks already.

So, sit back, relax and let the impeccably styled stars serve up all the inspiration you need for this season. Read on to discover which famous faces gained the status of best-dressed at New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2023…

Pre-NYFW Kick-Off Party

Wednesday evening saw a string of stars attend the Saks Fifth Avenue's New York Fashion Week Kickoff Party at The Jazz Club at Aman New York. Fashion darlings from across the globe gathered in the pulsing venue to mooch, mingle and marvel at one another's outfits.

Singer Charli XCX opted for a nostalgia-infused aesthetic crafted by her trust stylist Chris Horan. The star wore a Ludovic de Saint Sernin Fall 2023 logo-print denim mini dress featuring a corseted front and a spliced skirt, with a coordinating jacket, with towering black lace-up boots sourced from the same collection and a Coach shoulder bag.

Julia Fox has become synonymous with the concept of a fashion moment. The Uncut Gems star stepped out wearing a casual oversized bomber jacket and a coordinating maxi skirt with a frontal slit, both crafted from metallic gray fabric with a peakaboo flash of orange lining. Layered under her streetwear co-ord, Julia wore a ripped cropped white tee, in addition to a with a spiked choker, flatform combat boots and a baguette bag.

Emma Roberts served up ephemeral romanticism in a dreamy white dress by Proenza Schouler as she arrived on the scene. The mythical piece featured a sweetheart neckline, a corseted structure with stiff boning, fine straps, a voluminous skirt , a cotton poplin texture and an ultra-feminine feel. The Wild Child star slipped into a pair of Saint Laurent platform boots, giving her $1390 dress look an edgy kick.

Day One

Kicking off New York Fashion Week was Christian Siriano, who staged his show at Gotham Hall on Thursday. The designers ready-to-wear collection enticed a handful of celebrities to attend the show, taking their place on the exclusive FROW for all to see.

Rodarte, Collina Strada and Dion Lee hosted numerous stars to watch their latest colourbomb collections unfurl. Ranging from industry it-girls to seasoned style veterans, TikTok darlings to activists, discover which fabulous figures donned their finest glad rags to attend the first day of fashion month.

Lindsay Lohan was a bronzed babe in a sumptuously silky rust-colored jumpsuit as she took her place at the Christian Siriano show. Featuring an leegant cape-like top, seventies bell bottoms, a high neckline and a molten ombré effect, the star's attire glimmered under the studio lights. She supported her siblings Aliana, 29, and brother, Dakota Lohan, 26, as they made their New York Fashion Week modelling debuts at the show.

10 Things I Hate About You actress Julia Stiles joined Lindsay on the front row. Complementing the Parent Trap star's metallic aesthetic perfectly, Julia slipped into a hot pink silk concoction that exuded femininity. Tapping into one of this season's hottest trends, Julia flowed in the Barbiecore-inspired outfit which was popularised by Valentino last year.

Nothing says cool-girl chic quite like a nineties-style slip. Style veteran Alexa Chung attended Rodarte's Fall/Winter 2023 show sporting a lace-trimmed jade slip dress featuring fine fine straps, a thigh-split and an ankle-grazing length. Sourced from the brand's previous collection, the lustrous silk garment was a radiant addition to Alexa's wardrobe and retails at $1300.

It's giving John Hughes movie meets preppy prom goer and we are here for it. Hollywood star Brie Larson attended the Rodarte show in a little black dress with a floral twist. The bandeau garment featured a silk structure, a midi length, central ruching and violet corsage detailing.

Singer Charlotte Lawrence joined the glittering guestlist at the Rodarte show in a peachy satin number that exuded vintage romanticism. Charlotte, who just so happens to be Kaia Gerber's best friend, posed coolly for the cameras in the refined lace piece complete with a heavy silk skirt that grazed strappy silver stilettos.

Leonie Hanne

HELLO! Fashion cover star Leonie Hanne paid homage to Prabal Gurung's penchant for bold florals in a voluminous mini dress boasting a busy fuchsia and peach petal-clad exterior, a strapless silhouette, and an on-trend hooded element that culminated in a wispy sheer train. The look was a melting pot of trends, ranging from barbiecore to the hooded dress, popularised by Saint Laurent, Versace, Coperni and more.

Day Two

Day two of New York Fashion Week saw brands including Proenza Schouler, Anna Sui, Jonathan Simkai, Area and Eckhaus Latta take center stage. While some stars donned their finest attire for the events, others (yes, we're looking at you Sienna Miller) went against the maximalist tide of fashion week, opting for a more coolly casual outfit instead.

Sienne Miller was the epitome of a cool-charm as she attended the Proenza Schouler show in shorts and a beige knit polo top. A pair of chunky, sandal-style heels added an extra dollop of casual quirk to her off-duty number, which was topped off by a retro pair of bronze tinted sunglasses.

OITNB star Natasha Lyonne joined Sienna at the Proenza Schouler show. Natasha, who has been serving look after look as of late, turned out a pretty polka dot combination that showcased cut-out effects, ring detailing, a ruffled peplum, long ruffled sleeves, and a delicately draped floor-length skirt.

Ok, ok, so we might have cheated with this one a tiny bit as she technically wasn't a guest, but we couldn't help including Emily Ratajkowski. The model hit the runway for Jonathan Simkhai in a printed blazer dress with masculine, eighties shoulders and a mini silhouette, which was paired with chunky biker boots and a slicked-back hairstyle.

Chloë Sevigny opened the Proenza Schouler Fall 2023 Ready To Wear Fashion Show at the Chelsea Factory, looking ever so suave in a tailored outfit. The Hollywood star exuded cool-girl confidence in an oversized blazer, a crisp white shirt and slouchy leather-look trousers.

Kamala Harris' model stepdaughter Ella Emhoff looked lovely in lace as she attended the Proenza Schouler show. Taking a break from the catwalk, Ella donned a sheer classic-cut shirt layered over a white bralette and matched with a leather mini skater skirt, chunky cloud sandals and black socks.

Marc Jacobs showed his support for friends and brand creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez at the Proenza Schouler show. The esteemed fashion designer toyed with exaggerated silhouettes in a grape-hued wool coat with large shoulders, a double-breasted cut, and military-style detailing.

Day Three

Day three of New York Fashion Week oversaw a stylish string of designer looks donned by famous faces. Kicking off Saturday's events was Ulla Johnson, attended by Lily Allen and Katie Holmes, followed by Jason Wu and Khaite to name a few. Ulla Johnson debuted streamlined yet sexy pieces boasting burnt orange autumnal tones, while Jason Wu served up dark romance. Khaite welcomed a slew of supermodels through its doors, in turn treating us to some divine evening outfits.

Lily Allen took her place on the front row at the Ulla Johnson Fall 2023 Ready-To-Wear Fashion Show alongside Katie Holmes. The Brit pop singer wore a patchwork knit featuring checkerboards, stripes and chevron paired with some tailored leather trousers and practical white sneakers.

Katie Holmes was photographed outside the Ulla Johnson show looking smart in an olive-green overcoat which was layered on top of an asymmetrically designed skirt. The contemporary piece showcased silver buttons placed on the bias cut, a jagged fairycore-style hem and ruched leather boots.

Irina Shayk stole the show at the Khaite show in an all-black ensemble featuring a straight-cut leather jacket with a classic collar, decorative frontal pockets, button-down detailing and a vintage finish. She paired the timeless garment with some straight-leg trousers and heeled boots.

Fashion darling Alexa Chung returned to the FROW to attend the Khaite show. For the star-studded bash, the author wore a caramel-hued snakeskin cropped jacket featuring a classic collar and sporty black hems layered over a crisp white shirt with a chocolate pinstripe print. She slipped into a leather midi skirt with a frontal split to complete her evening attire

Supermodel Karlie Kloss followed suit for the Khaite show, combining a sartorial mixture of animal print and ebony tones. The 6'1 beauty wore a sleek, black mini shirt dress layered under a floor-length duster coat that led the eye to her mint green snakeskin boots.

So far, Ella Emhoff is winning fashion week! The model rocked double denim as she waved to crowds outside the Khaite show. The 23-year-old sported a classic, Americana light-wash denim jacket teamed with some raw-hem jeans and striking silver heels for the 'do.

Not only did she model during fashion week, but Ella also hosted her 'Ella Emhoff Likes to Knit' pop-up looking cute but kitsch in a hand-knitted sweater vest, a yellow tee and bold floral skirt. The star is currently a student at Parsons School of Design in New York and debuted her incredible creations for all to marvel at.

Charlotte Lawrence made another elegant fashion week appearance to attend the Khaite show. The singer conjured up timeless sophistication in a classic little black dress boasting a strapless design, a satin finish and a dramatic train.

Day Four

Coach, Tory Burch and royally-approved brand Carolina Herrera came out to play on day four of New York Fashion Week. Sharp, tailored looks were sent down the runway in addition to classically elegant pieces which we are sure to spot on members of the royal family when the collections hit the shelves. Model-turned-singer Suki Waterhouse looked as gorgeous as ever while attending the Tory Burch Fall/Winter 2023. The star looked quirky yet composed in a sheer black long-sleeve layered over a bralette and paired with a floating tangerine chiffon skirt, a dark olive overcoat and mustard-toned heels.

To All The Boys I've Loved Before protagonist Lana Condor also attended the Tory Burch show looking divine in chocolate. The actress channeled suited and booted vibes in the brown skirt set which came complete with a pearlescent pussybow blouse, tights and chunky patent heels.

Never one to shy away from the out-there looks, Julia Fox made her way to the Elena Velez show looking fierce in a fully sheer white strapless midi dress layered under a dusty green yeti coat and teamed with fur-tastic white point-toe heels. She clasped an eye-catching see-through bag for all her fashion week essentials. 

Claire Foy

The Crown star Claire Foy was every bit as elegant as her regal character of the Queen on the show as she appeared at the Tory Burch show alongside a slew of other stars. The actress looked low-key yet lovely in a black coat slipped on over a black scoop neck top and a white lace midi skirt that gave her attire a touch of voluminous romance.

Ashley Graham

Model Ashley Graham dazzled in a translucent, glitter-clad violet top, a black silk skirt, a belt bag, and pointed golden heels outside Tory Burch's show. Sheer textures and purple or mustard hues were clearly hot trends for attendees at the designer's display.

Dance sensation Maddie Zeiger had the same train of thought, opting for a sheer lilac look that consisted of a short-sleeve lavender-toned top layered under a cream mini pencil skirt and a wisp-like witchy lace skirt. She wore a pearlescent duster off her shoulders as she posed for the cameras, revealing her Y2K baguette-style handbag in the process.

Musician Lil Nas X is renowned for his boundary-pushing style, so fans were thrilled to see him take his prestigious place on the FROW at the LaQuan Smith show. For the well-documented affair, the star wore a wine-red leather jacket with sleek lapels, a single-breasted cut and a faded finish which was coordinated with an all-black outfit underneath.

Lil Nas graced us with his unparalleled sartorial prowess once again for the decorated Coach Fall 2023 Ready-To-Wear runway show at Park Avenue Armory. Setting the internet ablaze, the star wore a strawberry red, furry cropped biker jacket with belted detailing, a chunky bubblegum pink rollneck, a pair of mid-wash jeans with red borg to match his outerwear piece and some befurred red boots. Now that's what we call a look.

It would almost be illegal to write a best-dressed round-up and not include the head of state herself. Anna Wintour was pictured outside the Carolina Herrera show looking snug in a mocha-colored teddybear coat that boasted a streamlined style, contrast leather panels, a belted waistline, sharp lapels and an ankle-grazing length. Underneath the garment, the Vogue editor-in-chief wore a high-neck floral dress depicting delicate rose-tinted blooms sprawling across a cerulean backdrop - note, not blue, turquoise or lapis.

India Bradley

Ballerina India Bradley looked angelic at Palomo Spain's Fall 2023 Ready-To-Wear in a semi-sheer mesh mini dress displaying a pretty polka dot print, trumpet sleeves, a nineties squareneck and a monochrome color palette. The dancer traded her pointe shoes for a pair of black leather knee-high boots and a calfskin Christian Dior handbag.

Day Five

A blanket of stars descended upon the streets of New York for day five of fashion week. Thom Browne, Brandon Maxwell, Christian Cowan, Gabriela Hearst and royally-beloved label Altuzarra were a handful of names who beckoned A-listers through the doors of their chosen venues. 

Penn Badgley

You star Penn Badgley looked ever so dapper at the Thom Browne Fall/Winter 2023 show. The actor, who previously starred in cultural phenomenons Gossip Girl, Easy A and John Tucker Must Die, wore a checkered three-piece grey suit, complete with a tailored waistcoat and pristine white shirt.

Queen Latifah

Stylish? Check. Talented? Check. Loves a check? Check! Queen Latifah embraced Thom Browne's iconic house style in a head-to-toe printed ensemble featuring a cloud-like, marbled coat and a similarly hued blue tartan holdall. A grey borg hat helped to sheathe the star in warmth while posing for the cameras.

Ok, so Lil Nas X has already won fashion week - that's a fact nobody is denying. The rapper donned a beautiful emerald green overcoat boasting a whimsical paisley print, an ankle-length fit and a silk finish to witness Thom Browne's collection unfurl.

Christian Cowan always brings flamboyance, and Lil Nas embraced the brand's ethos wholeheartedly. A satin lilac suit and a pair of silver disco ball platform boots glimmered under the studio lights. Not to mention, the pièce de résistance of the look, a stunning feathered headdress that jettisoned candyfloss pink plumes.

Mamma Mia star Christine Baranski looked undeniably elegant at the Thom Browne show. The esteemed actress channelled pretty schoolgirl vibes in a paisley-tartan pleated skirt, grey and white brogues, a crisp white shirt fastened with a tartan tie, a charcoal waistcoat and a coordinating printed jacket.

That Tuesday, Ella suited up in a charcoal pinstripe skirt set - a style that has become synonymous with the American brand's legacy.The preppy suit consisted of an oversized, masculine blazer and matching midi skirt. The 23-year-old completed her schoolgirl aesthetic by layering a crisp white shirt fastened with a coordinating pinstripe tie under the set.

Sam Smith

ll hail Sam Smith, who successfully sent the internet into meltdown following their viral BRIT Awards appearance. The singer swapped their headline-hitting inflatable latex look by HARRI for something with a touch more sparkle as they took their prestigious place on the front row of Christian Cowan's Fall/Winter 2023 show on Tuesday.

For the celebrity-saturated soiree, the 30-year-old wore a champagne-toned sequin-clad duster featuring a single-breasted cut, a floor-grazing length and an oversized fit. The disco-ready piece was cooly layered over a cherry red tank top which came complete with matching straight-leg trousers, latex gloves and patent platform boots.

Bella Thorne joined Sam Smith and Lil Nas X at Christian Cowan's show looking hot to trot in a streamlined white latex bodycon that highlighted her to-die-for figure. The sensational snow queen number featured a star-shaped bralette with a halterneck silhouette and sensual cut-out details.m

Gossip Girl legend Taylor Momsen was yet another familiar face on Christian Cowan's star-studded FROW. For the unveiling of the daring collection, Taylor fused classic tones with frivolity in a sharp, tailored blazer mini dress that was piped in cream ostrich feathers to enhance the garment's structured silhouette.

She may have stepped away from the limelight following previous controversy, but Lea Michele came back with a bang for the Brandon Maxwell Fall/Winter 2023 show. The Glee actress-singer slipped into a black pleated off-shoulder dress with a decorative zipper effect, black pants, and sunglasses for the cameras to capture.

America's Next Top Model fans rejoice! Show judges Nigel Barker and Jay Manuel were spotted sitting front and centre of the FROW at Pamella Roland's show. Jay married high and low in a look sourced from Gucci's collaboration with Adidas, a sporty take on one of Kering's most successful brands.

Day Six

New York Fashion Week went out with a bang - as per. Michael Kors enticed a truly iconic league of celebrities to witness the designer's collection come to life, while more cutting-edge labels like House of Aama and Weiderhoeft unleashed their devishly creative offerings unto the fashion elite.

Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes coolly graced the New York scene in an oversized fitted black blazer layered over a coordinating turtleneck and twinkling sequin-clad zebra-print wide-leg trousers. A pair of black flatform sandals, sheer black tights and a patent bag completed the Dawson's Creek star's head-to-toe Michael Kors aesthetic, in addition to a frosting of diamonds.

Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson looked sublime at the Michael Kors show in a black halterneck bralette with a coordinating high-waisted pleated skirt. A tailored blazer was gently draped over her shoulders for maximum wow-factor.

Mindy Kaling

Mindy Kaling radiated razzmatazz in red as she blazed a sartorial trail outside Kors' show venue. A lipstick red blouse blended into her suit ensemble, which was completed by a red handbag and pumps.

Lady Amelia and Eliza Spencer

Princess Diana's nieces Lady Amelia and Eliza Spencer hopped across the pond for their friend Mr Kors. Lady Eliza wore a black wool dress from the Spring/Summer 2023 Michael Kors Collection, while Lady Amelia glimmered in a gold hand-embroidered sequin matte-jersey turtleneck bodysuit and dune wool-serge trousers.

Frida Aasen

Model Frida Aasen was a seventies vision in a fringed black midi dress with a sporty racer neck, artisan gold belt, a figure-skimming fit and a pair of strappy barely-there heels.

Jourdan Dunn

Jourdan Dunn lit up the guestlist in a luminous caramel look. A micro skirt, a matching blazer and blouse formed the ultimate office chic meets runway expert aesthetic. 

Alan Cumming

Alan Cumming offered up a dose of dopamine in his bold attire. The actor wore a lipstick red tank top, a coordinating pair of trousers, and a snow-white blouse while fully soaking up the attention from doting crowds.

Rachel Zegler

West Side Story star Rachel Zegler put on a bashful display in a cherry-red dress and blazer combo. The star stunned in an asymmetrically-designed dress with a costume gold belt, a draped blazer and crimson stilettos. 

Lily Aldridge

Former Victoria's Secret model Lily Aldrige was a vision in pure white. The brunette beauty was the epitome of ethereal in the draped, ankle-length dress boasting a caped shoulder and a loose-fitting structure.
