Country music's award season has officially kicked off with the 2023 CMT Music Awards, and of course Shania Twain had to make an appearance.
The star's attendance was one to remember, not only because of her stunning look of choice for the star-studded night, but also because of the special award she received, and a performance from her too!
The Grammy-winning singer was the recipient of the Equal Play award of the night, which was presented to her by fellow singer Megan Thee Stallion.
As Shania made her way onto the stage to accept the meaningful nod, she dazzled in a stunning Chanel set.
The "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" hitmaker looked drop dead gorgeous in the adorable yet sultry matching coord by the French luxury fashion house, made of their signature tweed in a beautiful purple hue.

The set consisted of a bra and plunging cropped bolero up top, paired with tiny, brief-like shorts. Shania accessorized with skin-tight, thigh-high black leather boots, plus, naturally, a black cowboy hat, plus an auburn red wig.
For the special night, the mom-of-one also had by her side, aside from her country music colleagues, her husband Frédéric Thiébaud.
This year's CMT Music Awards are the first ever to be hosted in Texas, and the special night took place at the Moody Center on April 2nd. They were hosted by three-time co-hosts Kelsea Ballerini – who made her red carpet debut with new beau Chase Stokes – and Kane Brown.

The show first kicked off with a difficult tribute from Kelsea to the victims of the recent school shooting in Nashville – arguably the biggest hub for country music – at The Covenant School, which took the lives of three nine-year-olds and three adults in their 60s.
The awards show saw the likes of Carrie Underwood, Megan Thee Stallion, Dixie D'Amelio, LeAnn Rimes, Wynnona Judd, Madison Bailye, Travis Kelce and Alanis Morisette attend, with performances from Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Carly Pierce, Keith Urban, Tyler Hubbard and more.
