I’ve just finished Yellowstone, and apart from the fact I want to move to Montana and marry a cowboy, I now have a strange urge to dress like Beth Dutton, played by the incredible Kelly Reilly.
After binge watching the entire show from season one to season five, it’s clear that Beth’s style can easily be copied. You just need to f*cking shop clever you little piece of sh*t.
Sorry, just getting in the zone - said while backcombing my hair and moving my parting from the middle to the side.
Full disclaimer: I can’t guarantee you’ll find your Rip with any of these purchases but it’s worth a try.
How to dress like Beth Dutton
A floral dress
I lost count of all the times Beth wore a floral dress on the show, so this is top of the list in this masterclass of how to be more Beth - sartorially speaking.
Cowboy boots - but of course
Ok, this is an obvious one. A pair of cowboy boots are a must-buy, dipsh*t.
A tote bag
Honestly, Beth carried the same tote bag throughout the entirety of the show. I’m not sure what she carried in that thing, but it added great dramatic affect as she exited a room, leaving terror in her wake.
A leather jacket
Cropped and tight - that’s the Beth Dutton way to wear a leather jacket.
Chaimail mini dress
We all know the significance of Beth’s chainmail mini but I don’t want to give away any spoilers. All I’ll say is you’ll want to say ‘I f*cking do’ to wearing one after seeing Beth wear hers.
A band tee
Accessorise with whiskey and a scowl.
A cowboy hat
You might not have a horse to ride, but a cowboy hat is needed if you’re going to dress like Beth Dutton.
Gold hoops
Beth didn’t wear a lot of accessories but a simple pair of gold hoops made an appearance from time to time.
Business attire
We saw various sides to Beth throughout the show but as well as yee-haw Beth I also loved city Beth. You’ll need a power suit and a boardroom-ready dress to tear down your co-workers.
A pair of glasses
Hide your disgust at whoever you’re talking to with a pair of Beth-worthy shades.
Double denim
Add a pair of cowboy boots and a scowl to complete the Beth look.
Now all you need is cigarettes, whiskey, a meadow, and Rip Wheeler.
