Supermodel Helena Christensen has always been intertwined with the water. From swimming in the rivers of her mother's homeland, Peru, to basking in the coastal beauty of Denmark, Helena's connection to aquatic elements is deeply rooted.

But beyond her personal love for the water, the Danish beauty's tryst with swimwear has garnered attention for decades.

This is why, when Helena adorned a one-piece Hunza G costume three years ago, it resonated as a significant nod of approval in the fashion world.

Fast forward to this October, and Helena's relationship with the British swimwear brand Hunza G, co-founded by Georgiana Huddart, takes a step forward.

A five-piece capsule collection in Helena’s newly favored lilac-and-white stripes has been unveiled, as seen on her Instagram this week.

Helena's sentiment about the collection captures its essence. "It’s a cool, smart idea to have a range in one fabric,” she told FT.

“The fabric feels so good due to its elasticity, giving it a flattering effect. But with Hunza G, it was the colors that first captivated me."

Boosting Hunza G's visibility have been organic celebrity endorsements. Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have all showcased their love for Hunza G.

In fact, after Rosie tagged the brand, their website traffic skyrocketed, crashing it for two days.

Following Rosie's collaboration, Helena's partnership naturally succeeded.

When quizzed about the secret to looking impeccable in swimwear, Helena, with her characteristic candor, remarked: "Training! That's the secret."

A boxing enthusiast, Helena trains thrice weekly in New York, emphasizing its intensity. Her passion for water remains undiminished, revealing an impromptu swim in a December water hole if the mood strikes.

Recently, Helena was seen donning a strapless bubble-gum-pink Hunza G style in New York City, seamlessly blending it with street fashion.

The well-known star has been a familiar face on the fashion scene since the nineties, where back in 1990, she starred in the music video for Chris Isaak's song, Wicked Game.

The mother-of-one has featured in countless fashion campaigns over the years too, modeling for every brand from Chanel to Prada.

Alongside Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Elle Macpherson, the 'original supermodels' became as famous, if not more so, than the designers whose clothes they modeled.

“People tell me how much joy they have had growing up with the fashion, images and group of girls I was with,” she previously told HELLO! from her mountain hideaway in the Catskills, upstate New York.

“Very tender declarations of how much it meant to them and how much it means to them still.” Being the most in-demand models in fashion history, the supers would do eight shows a day during the international collections and worked for every big-name brand and prestigious magazine.

Working hard, but driving each other, at the height of her success Helena couldn’t comprehend the magnitude of their collective force. “It took me a long time to know what it really was and it’s actually still hard to describe.”
