Ireland Baldwin, the daughter of actress Kim Basinger and her ex-husband Alec Baldwin, has officially become a model. The 17-year-old has signed on with two different agencies, Two Management in Los Angeles and IMG in New York, where she will join the ranks of legendary models like Kate Moss, Karlie Kloss and Chanel Iman. Taking to her Twitter page to share the exciting news with her 20,000 plus followers, the teenager said: "Officially working for @TwoManagement and @IMGModels! I'm blessed, happy, and ready to WEEEERK."
The blonde beauty certainly has model qualities. At 6"2, she has a naturally slim physique and chiselled features to boot. She is following in the footsteps of her famous mother Kim, who signed with Ford modelling agency at the age of 16. She went on to star in a series of ad campaigns before embarking on a film career. Ireland is not the only celebrity offspring to secure a modelling career. Most recently, Romeo Beckham, the son of uber-fashionable celebrity couple David and Victoria, was announced as the face of Burberry, appearing in a campaign shot by Mario Testino sporting the fashion house's signature trench coat.
The ten-year-old looked at ease in front of the camera as he showed off his playful side by posing with an umbrella. Hollywood star Andie MacDowell's youngest daughter with former model Paul Qualley, Margaret, made her catwalk debut at the Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti show in Milan earlier this year. And Victoria's Secret supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio introduced her gorgeous four-year-old daughter Anja into the world of modelling with a campaign for fashion brand London Fog. The Brazilian beauty revealed that her little girl took to modelling instantly: "Having my daughter steal the spotlight is pretty funny and I just love it." With her Kate Moss-esque gap-toothed smile and her disheveled blonde locks, Georgia May Jagger, who is the daughter of Jerry Hall and Rolling Stones star Sir Mick Jagger, has taken the modelling world by storm, bagging a contract with Lancome, Hudson Jeans and Rimmel London, as well as appearing as a face for Chanel. It's no surprise, meanwhile, that the daughter of supermodel Yasmin le Bon, Amber, has followed in her mother's footsteps. Lending her stunning face to brands including Moschino, Forever 21 and Myla, the 23-year-old has made waves in the industry. Another supermodel with a photogenic child is Cindy Crawford, whose daughter Kaia Gerber made her debut for 'Young' Versace, a label closely associated with her mum.
