The youngest Cambridge looked absolutely adorable on her first day at nursery this week, posing for pictures taken by mum Kate while wearing a pink cashmere cable knit scarf by Marie-Chantal, the brand owned by Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece, and a matching Cath Kidston pony print backpack. Charlotte, two, has been spotted wearing the colour many times before; from cute hats and cardies while still a baby, to gorgeous floral frocks during her first official royal engagements. Here are all the times Princess Charlotte wore fashion’s most feminine of colours...

Little Charlotte showed a preference for pink at just six months old. In these snaps, taken by the Duchess at the family’s country pile Anmer Hall, the Princess sported a pale pink floral dress with frilly collar, pink cardigan and tights, and looked delighted while playing with a cuddly toy dog.

Sitting comfortably in her mother’s arms, Princess Charlotte looked super snug in a pink beanie hat during her first family skiing holiday. The Duke and Duchess took the then-ten-month-old and big brother George to the French alpine resort of Courchevel in early 2016, and from the look of that grin we assume she enjoyed her time in the snow.

Charlotte and the Duchess made a beautiful twosome while celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday at the 2016 Trooping the Colour – one of the Princess’s earliest official appearances. Her sweet baby pink dress, shoes and hair clip matched mum Kate’s oversized hat and corsage, which were teamed with a white dress. Pretty in pink, indeed!

Little Charlotte undertook her first royal tour at just one year old. Joining William, Kate and George in Canada for eight days, the Princess sported this baby blue dress with contrasting pink sash, buttons and stitching. She was also pictured making a dash for the pink balloons at a garden party for military families.

Mother and daughter went for a matching look once again at the 2017 Trooping the Colour. Kate looked dazzling in a coordinated candy pink dress and hat, and Charlotte wore a pink floral dress, white socks and burgundy Mary Janes. Her side parting echoed the hairstyle her great-grandmother the Queen often wore as a child.

The little Princess reportedly showed impeccable manners when she joined her parents on a royal tour of Poland and Germany in July 2017.
