Princess Victoria of Sweden looks chic in nautical-inspired striped dress

It was the perfect outfit for a trip onboard a boat!

August 20, 2018

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden looked the epitome of Scandinavian chic when she stepped out for an official visit to Estonia on Sunday in an elegant blue and white striped dress. The nautical-inspired number featured white, navy and cornflower blue stripes of different widths running horizontally across the fitted top section and vertically up the full midi-length skirt – a quirky design touch that added a bit of playfulness to the outfit. The stylish royal added a chain bag and subtle silver stud earrings and a matching bracelet. She wore her chestnut hair pulled back off her face in a neat bun, and kept her makeup light and minimal.

Victoria arriving at the Chapel of St. Mary

The 41-year-old was visiting the Baltic country along with her husband Prince Daniel to celebrate its centenary. They met with Estonian president Kersti Kaljulaid, participated in the reinauguration of the Chapel of St. Mary in Naissaare and met with the local Estonian Swedes. In fitting with Victoria's fabulous nautical-esque outfit, they also enjoyed some waves and wind onboard an Estonina navy sea vessel.

This year Victoria, who is mum to Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, has been busy with Generation Pep's Upp & Hoppa Sverige! (Up & Jump Sweden!) campaign, which aims to encourage people to lead more active lifestyles. Daniel and Victoria launched Generation Pep in 2016. The non-profit organisation works to raise awareness and get individuals involved in promoting children's health.

A trip onboard a boat proved to be slightly windy!

Prince William and Kate were recently impressed by the Swedes' approach to active lifestyles during their visit to Scandinavia earlier this year. "One lesson that we will take home with us is that children are actively encouraged to spend time outdoors, whatever the weather," William said in a speech during a royal engagement. "This is obviously very good for their physical health but… it has huge benefits for a child's mental health as well."
