Princess Sofia of Sweden looked effortlessly chic as she enjoyed a family day out with her husband Prince Carol Philip and their two-year-old son Prince Alexander at the Nynas Nature Reserve in Södermanland, Sweden – the young royal’s first official engagement. The royal was the epitome of off-duty cool in a pair of white skinny trousers, a classic navy sweater layered over a white shirt and a pair of platformed Superga trainers – the same trainers that both Princess Diana and Duchess Kate are huge fans of.
Kate is a fan of the more classic Superga 2750 Cotu Classics in white while Diana wore the very same pair but in navy blue while on a visit to Angola for a Red Cross mission in 1997. Kate often teams hers with skinny jeans and a crew neck jumper and Diana wore a similar outfit of jeans but added a smarter touch with a navy Armani blazer and pastel blue shirt. Princess Sofia, on the other hand, chose the 2790 White Flatform style for the royal walkabout, which included riding in a horse and cart and unveiling a new model duck at the reserve.

Princess Estelle, the six-year-old daughter of Crown Princess Victoria, and Princess Leonore, the four-year-old daughter of Princess Madeleine, both visited their duchies at the age of two too. The young prince looked cute in a pair of chinos, a striped shirt, white cardigan and brown pumps while his father cut a stylish figure in chinos, a grey blazer over a white shirt and brown leather trainers.
