Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is known for her elegant style and classic taste, just like our very own Duchess of Cambridge – but we don't think she could have looked any more like Kate on Tuesday, when she stepped out in a beautiful red midi dress that could easily be taken directly from our future Queen's wardrobe! The Danish royal also wore her hair in an identical style to one of Kate's favourites, as if she wasn't style-twinning enough already.

Duchess Kate and Crown Princess Mary obviously have similar tastes!

The pretty floaty dress, which featured flattering blouson sleeves, a nipped-in waist and a flowing skirt, is similar in silhouette to the dress Kate wore to her younger sister Pippa Middleton's wedding in May 2017 – while the bold red shade is also a favourite with the Duchess. Meanwhile, Mary's low-slung chignon up-do is Kate's go-to for formal events, worn particularly recently at 2018's Trooping the Colour. Love.

The Danish princess did add her own modern detail to her outfit, however, with a swoon-worthy pair of pointed snake-print heels that bring the look firmly into this season – as well as her gorgeous matching clutch bag and a punchy manicure we'd be surprised to see on any British royal.

Loving the mani, Mary!

Mary was back on royal duties to welcome French president Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte to Denmark, alongside her husband Crown Prince Frederik and monarch Queen Margrethe. Later on, she spoiled us royal-fashion-watchers once again at a state banquet with her family, stepping out in the stunning Ruby Parure tiara, one of the Danish royals' oldest set of jewels.

For the more formal evening event, she chose a gorgeous monochrome floral gown, which featured a dramatic cape that flowed behind her. Which is your favourite look out of the two?
